If this is the first time you have ever wrapped a horse you should ask for assistance by your trainer and or someone who knows how to wrap. It is really important to know how to wrap properly because if done the wrong way could result to injury to your horse.
Take a polo wrap and put the end of the wrap half way down to the cannon bone on the inside of the horse’s leg. Wrap the leg from front to back overlapping the wrap by 1/3 with each wrap. When wrapping it should be clockwise on the right legs and counter clockwise on the left legs. You should not wrap too tight and not too loose as you could do damage to your horses legs. When wrapping, wrap across the cannon bone, NEVER along the tendons.
From starting at the center of your horses leg work your way down the leg applying firm even pressure and make one wrap around underneath the fetlock joint (do not go pass this joint) and work your way back up making 1/3 distance overlapping each wrap applying firm even pressure.
Your wrap should end underneath your horse’s kneecap securing the Velcro at the top of the wrap. Imagine the velcro being a pointed finger. The end of the Velcro should point to the tail or back of your horse.
